Next Coach Candidates for
Volleyball on Campus
LEWISTON - The next two candidates for the position of head
coach for the women’s volleyball team will be on campus next week for
interviews. Jason Zoeteman and Brad Ackerman are scheduled to interview and
spend time with the team on Monday, April 15th and Tuesday the 16th
respectively.
Zoeteman hails from Suisun City, California where he is the head women’s
volleyball coach at Solano Community College. Ackerman is the assistant
women’s volleyball coach at Central Washington University in Ellensburg,
Washington. Both men have experience in building winning teams and express
commitment to education of their student athletes.
Both candidates have full days that include meeting with President Dene
Thomas and Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs Rita Morris, Deacon
Meier, Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean Froehlich, Vice President
for Administrative Services—in addition to the search committee charged with
screening candidates. They will also meet with coaches and athletic
department staff, and take a long lunch with the volleyball team.
Lewis-Clark State’s talented women’s volleyball team has been on the lookout
for a coach since Kip Yoshimura left for a position at Gonzaga University
last year.
