Month of March Celebrates Women's History

LEWISTON - "Women's Frontiers, Past, Present, Future" is the theme for a month-long schedule of educational and entertaining ways to learn about women in the world--yesterday and today. The LCSC-hosted event is just one of many presented at other locations throughout the state during the month of March. The event is presented by LCSC’s Women’s History Month Organizing Committee. The committee is asking for a donation of canned food as the price of admission.

The committee has unveiled a calendar of events that includes noted speakers, panel discussions, video and television broadcasts, as well as a noon parenting series. The series consists of three one-hour sessions that address current issues and parenting skills. The video programs, Parenting With Dignity, by Drew Bledsoe and Children Know Best How Divorce Affects Them, by Elizabeth Hickey will be featured. Each video presentation is free of charge and will be followed by hosted, small group discussion.
