Mertsching appointed to Associate Professor in BSN Program

Geni Mertsching, MSN, RN, CNE, has accepted a nine-month appointment as an Associate Professor, Adult Health Nursing, in the BSN Program starting this Fall.

Geni has been serving as PN Director / Assistant Professor since the beginning of the PN program (over 3.5 years). She was previously Instructor for LCSC’s Technical Education Nursing Assistant training (for over 3 years, doing classroom and clinical teaching). Geni brings over 17 years of nursing practice experience.

She keeps current with clinical practice by working prn 3 to 4 days a month at SJRMC. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing (Education Track) degree from ISU and is a nationally certified nurse educator (NLN). Geni is also an LCSC graduate (RN to BSN).
