Boat tour features geological history of Hells Canyon
Learn the geological history of Hells Canyon during a one-day jet boat field trip to Hells Canyon on May 12, sponsored by the Lewis-Clark State College Geology Club.
Keegan Schmidt, an assistant professor in the LCSC Natural Sciences Division, will lead the educational trip, which will be run through River Quest. The trip begins at 8:30 a.m. and will return at 6 p.m. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Registration for the trip is $78 per person prior to April 30 or $70 for children, senior citizens, and LCSC students, faculty and staff. After April 30, the price goes up to $88.
Learn the geological story about one of the deepest and spectacular canyons in North America.
