Volunteer opportunities are still available for Series

The 51st annual Avista NAIA World Series has approximately 200 openings left for individuals or groups who would like to volunteer at the event, which runs May 25-June 1 at Lewis-Clark State College’s Harris Field.

Volunteer shifts run for three hours and individuals or groups can sign up for multiple shifts.

The main concession and the left-field concession stands are where the most help is needed. Some of the duties in the concession stands include cooking, pouring drinks and cashiers. Most of the openings are for morning or early afternoon, although there are eight slots still open for the one game to be played on May 31. Also, the left-field concession booth has openings on the evening of May 26.

Other volunteer opportunities include ushers on May 30, which is ideal for a business or organization. There are various openings for selling programs and taking tickets, as well as in both the apparel and souvenir booths.
