LCSC Security Director Pierce to receive award
Lewis-Clark State College Director of Security Barb Pierce has been selected as Region II Rehabilitation of the Year award winner by the Idaho Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.
Pierce will be honored during a lunch Wednesday at the Lewis-Clark State College Student Union Building. The award ceremony will take place at 12:30 p.m. at the public is invited.
Vocational rehabilitation officials from the Region II, which covers the Lewiston, Moscow, Orofino and Grangeville areas, will present Pierce with a certificate signed by Idaho Gov. C.L. (Butch) Otter. Each year, Region II officials select one employed person to receive the special honor based on the individual’s success story.
Lori Hollibaugh, who was Pierce’s case worker in Orofino, nominated Pierce for the award.
Pierce became LCSC’s Director of Security this past year and oversees a staff of two full-time and nine part-time employees.
