LCSC's Villa earns All-America honors

Lewis-Clark State College sophomore Juanita Villa was named to the 2007 NAIA Women’s Golf All-American squad, the NAIA announced Wednesday.

Villa was one of 15 players honored on the squad, which included five players from national champion Oklahoma City University. The All-American team also included six sophomores, four freshmen, three juniors, and two seniors.

Villa, who is from Medllin, Columbia, was named the Frontier Conference’s Player of the Year last week. She won the conference’s overall title during the season and led LCSC to a second-place conference finish and a spot in the national tournament for the third time in four years. LCSC finished No. 13 at nationals.
