Idaho PTE Conference begins at LCSC
The 50th annual Idaho Professional-Technical Educators’ Summer Conference opens today and runs through Wednesday evening on the campus of Lewis-Clark State College.
High school and college PTE educators from across Idaho are attending the conference, which will look at numerous fields and issues in Professional-Technical programs.
The conference kicks off with opening ceremonies at 10:30 a.m. in the LCSC Activity Center and will break for lunch at 11:30 a.m. There will be an overview of the Perkins Scholarship at 1-3 p.m. in the Activity Center and a social and dinner will be held Monday evening at the Lewiston Elks Club.
Also on Monday, as well as throughout the conference, will be several sessions on a variety of topics. The group topics include Agriculture and Natural Resources, Business Management and Marketing, Career Guidance, Engineering and Industrial Systems, Family and Consumer Sciences, Health Professions, Individualized Occupational Training, Post Secondary Programs, Technical Education, and Tech Prep/Advance Learning Partnership Coordinators. Most sessions will be held at LCSC, although some of the Agriculture and Natural Resources, and Technical Education seminars will meet in Moscow and Pullman.
The conference runs through Wednesday with the closing ceremony set for 3:45-5 p.m. at the Activity Center. The closing will feature a presentation by Mike Rush, Administrator of Idaho Professional Technical Education.
