Atmospheric problem discussion is Saturday

The Natural Sciences Division at Lewis-Clark State College, in conjunction with the Lewiston Astronomy Society, invites the general public to a talk entitled, “Issues in Atmospheric Chemistry: Global warming, ozone depletion and other misfortunes” by Nancy A. Johnston on Saturday, Oct. 6, at 5 p.m. in Room B10 in the basement of Meriwether-Lewis Hall on the LCSC campus.

Johnston received her Ph.D from University of California-Irvine, where she worked with the scientist that first discovered the ozone depletion problem. She is an expert in atmospheric chemistry well suited to give a presentation on global warming and ozone depletion. Because global warming is a paramount environmental problem, this is an opportunity to learn more about the subject and ask questions that can be answered by an expert.

For more information on the talk, contact the LCSC Natural Sciences Division at 792-2295.
