Short fiction reading is Friday at the Center

Daniel Orozco will present a reading from his short fiction works on Friday, Nov. 2, at 7:30 p.m. at the Lewis-Clark State College Center for Arts & History, located at 415 Main St. in Lewiston.

Orozco's reading is part of the annual Visiting Writers Series sponsored by the LCSC Humanities Division.

Orozco’s work has appeared in the Best American Essays, Best American Short Stories, Best American Mystery Stories and Pushcart Prize anthologies, and in Harper’s Magazine, Zoetrope, McSweeney’s and others. He’s been awarded fellowships from the Idaho Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.

A professor in the Creative Writing Program at the University of Idaho, Orozco’s work is recognized for its innovation and skill. He is a former Stegner Fellow and Jones Lecturer at Stanford.

Following the reading, the author will be available to answer questions from the audience.
