Tickets are $12.50 for adults and $8 for seniors (55 & older) and children (18 & under). Lewis-Clark State College students are admitted free with an LCSC Student ID.
“A Winter’s Carol” is a unique holiday concert of songs and stories from the highlands of Scotland and the shores of the Emerald Isle. Performed by Men of Worth, Kevin Carr and Maureen Brennan, the concert also features champion Irish Step dancers Bethany Duff and Kelsey Wilson.
Men of Worth was formed by James Keigher of Ireland and Donnie Macdonald of Scotland in 1986. The two musicians met in Southern California and perform internationally throughout North America, Ireland, and Scotland. The duo supplies vocals and plays mando-cello, concertina, octave mandolin, bodran, banjo, and guitar.
Kevin Carr, renowned in the United States and Canada as a dance fiddler, also plays uilleann pipes and the pennywhistle. He is best known for his work with the cult contra-dance band, The Hillbillies From Mars.
Maureen Brennan is an accomplished performer, playing both classical and Celtic music on the Irish harp. She tours the U.S. and Canada specializing in the traditional dance music and song of Ireland and Scotland.
The Silverthorne Series provides the students of LCSC and the community with exposure to cultural and educational experiences through presentations of performing artists. The programming is presented by Lewis-Clark State College Continuing Education & Community Events and is funded, in part, by LCSC student fees and the Lewiston Independent Foundation for Education.
