Hosts neded for tables at President's Tea
In celebration of phenomenal women, the Lewis-Clark State College 4th Annual President’s Tea will be held June 27.
Organizers are looking for table captains and anyone interested should contact the College Advancement office at ext. 2458.
The 2-hour event begins with music, poetry and shared stories of the powerful, difficult, and joyful journeys of incredible women. As we share our stories, we give courage to each other to celebrate our own journeys.
Proceeds from the Tea will be added to the Investiture Scholarship established in 2002 by President Dene Thomas. This scholarship is awarded to a non-traditional woman with financial need.
The 2008 Tea will take place
Friday, June 27th from 2 – 4 PM
at the Williams Conference Center on the LCSC campus.
Please RSVP as a host by April 25th.
We will provide each host with a round 60 inch table and a tablecloth. Tables can be decorated using any theme. This is the best part – open to any creative ideas. Using anything from fancy china to mix-matched pottery, design the table around themes like: family trees, gardens, hats, shoes, baseball or golf. This year we encourage Holiday themes: Christmas, Easter, Hanukkah or Summer Solstice.
If you’re having a creative block, our office has hundreds of pictures from past years to share. The sky is the limit! We will recognize tables displaying best use of color, most creative and best of show as voted on by the attendees.
Tea, coffee and dessert will be provided by our own Sodexho Foods. Hosts will be given two and a half hours to decorate tables on Friday morning.
Tickets are $15 per person. We will provide you with enough tickets for all your guests. Some hosts purchase all the tickets for their guests. Others simply facilitate the financial transactions.
Fill your table with phenomenal women.
If you would like to decorate a table but don’t have specific guests in mind, there are always a number of women in the community who want to attend, but don’t have a particular table invitation. We can coordinate with you.
Please think of creative and fun ways to share your hobbies and talents or just make this an occasion to display the china you’ve been saving for a special event. If you are willing to be a host, please mark your calendar for our one and only planning meeting Friday, May 9th from 11 a.m. to noon at the Williams Conference Center to answer questions you may have and to see some displays
