Nursing students to conduct disaster drill today

The Lewis-Clark State College Nursing & Health Sciences Division will conduct a disaster training drill at 2 p.m. today on the LCSC campus.

LCSC nursing students who are seniors and regional health care representatives will take part in the drills, which will take place on the lawn east of the Sam Glenn Complex.

The exercise will assist the nursing students in understanding the basics of emergency response, triage, and handling multiple victims from a major incident. LCSC nursing students who are not seniors also will take part in the drills and will serve as victims who need treatment.

Each year, the seniors in the BSN Program in the Nursing & Health Sciences Division take part in a triage emergency situation as part of the Nursing Leadership and Management class.

For more information on the drills, contact LCSC Nursing and Health Sciences at (208)792-2250.
