LCSC music program sets guitar and saxophone performances

The Lewis-Clark State College music program will have a student guitar recital on May 10 and a saxophone recital on May 11, both on the LCSC campus.

The guitar recital is set for 3 p.m. at the LCSC Music Building, located on the corner of 7th Street and 11th Avenue in Lewiston. The recital will feature the students of LCSC guitar instructor Tim Bell performing a variety of classical music.

The saxophone recital will be at 3 p.m. in the Silverthorne Theatre. LCSC music professor Bill Perconti will premier a solo work written for him by American East Coast composter Allan Black, and the LCSC Saxophone Quarter will add a bass saxophone to perform saxophone quintet music by Grainger.

Both concerts are free and open to the public.
