Free concert series is set for the summer at LCSC
Lewis-Clark State College’s Continuing Education & Community Events program will hold a free Summer Music series with six lunch-time performances and one evening performance during June and July.
The public is encouraged to bring lunch and a blanket, or chair, to the performances that will be held on the LCSC Centennial Mall lawn on Tuesdays at noon-1 p.m. A variety of music is offered and performers include June 10, Confluence Chamber Orchestra, contemporary Chamber music; June 17, Cedar Grove, tunes from the Civil War to the early 1900’s; June 24, TruNorth, contemporary Rock, Blues, Reggae, and Acoustic music; July 1, Simon Tucker Blues Band, traditional blues; July 8, Wanigan, Bluegrass; July 15, Dan Faller, alternative Folk and Country.
A special evening performance by Dan Maher, host of Inland folk on Northwest Public Radio, will be held in the SUB Amphitheater at 7:30 p.m. on July 7.
In case of rain, the concerts will move indoors to the Student Union Solarium, located on the bottom floor.
