LCSC International Dinner is set for Feb. 21
An evening of great entertainment and food will take place on Feb. 21 as the annual Lewis-Clark State College International Dinner will be held at the Williams Conference Center on the LCSC campus.
Doors open at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $17 for adults, $12 for students, and $7 for children age seven and younger. Tickets can be purchased at the Information Desk inside the LCSC Student Union Building, at the LCSC International Programs Office, located at 805 4th St. in Lewiston, or from LCSC International Club members.
To reserve a full table for eight, contact the International Programs Office at 792-2321. Those interested are encouraged to buy their tickets early because the annual event, which has been taking place for more than 25 years, regularly sells out.
“Savor the World” is the theme for this year’s event.
The evening, which brings together cultures from many parts of the world, begins with dinner and will include dishes from Korea, Nepal, Japan, and West Africa, among others, prepared by the students. Following dinner, a program will follow featuring music, songs and traditional dances from different countries as well as a fashion show and other individual performances.
Also during the evening, the International Club will honor an individual in the community with its 10th annual International Enlightenment Award. The award honors an individual who is particularly supportive of global understanding and diversity. The recipient’s name will be engraved on a permanent plaque displayed in the Student Union Building.
Proceeds from the event will go toward the International Student Scholarship fund.
