Annual Professioinal Development Day is April 22

The annual Lewis-Clark Valley Professional Development Day will be held on April 22 on the Lewis-Clark State College campus and will feature speakers Patty Shea from Avista Utilities in Spokane and Brad Cannon, owner of Cannon’s Building Materials Center in Lewiston.

The event, which is co-sponsored by the LCSC Professional Staff and Classified Staff organizations, will run 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and will include a continental breakfast, lunch and door prizes.

The registration fee is $45 per person and pre-registration is required.

The event begins with check in and a continental breakfast at 8:30-8:45 a.m. at the LCSC Silverthorne Theatre, located inside the LCSC Administration Building. Following a welcome, there will be an icebreaking event at 8:55-9:15 a.m. At 9:15 a.m., Shea will give an hour presentation. Following a 15-minute break, Shea will give another hour presentation at 10:30 a.m. Shea will cover “Achieving Success: An Unconventional Approach.” Shea will discuss choosing the life you want and creating your success.

A second icebreaking event will be at 11:30-11:45 a.m., and then lunch and prize drawings will take place at the Williams Conference Center at 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m.

Cannon will then speak on “Facing the Fire” at 1 p.m., and closing remarks and more drawings will follow.
