Skid Center celebrates Teen Driver Safety Week

As part of National Teen Driver Safety Week this week, the Lewis-Clark State College Motor Safety Training Center will be offering a 25 percent discount on its Traction Control Program for drivers aged 15-18.

The Traction Control Program provides drivers with the knowledge and techniques necessary to manage traction and vehicle control. The program teaches the skills to safely navigate roadways when challenged with hazardous conditions, such as ice and snow. Students will experience slick conditions while driving the LCSC SkidCar in a controlled environment at the LCSC Workforce Training Site in North Lewiston.

Gift certificates can be purchased for $89 and used at a later date. The gift certificates will be on sale through Dec. 31.

For more information on the Traction Control Program, visit the web site http://www.lcsc.edu/wft/Skid_Training.htm or call (208) 792-2388. To buy a gift certificate, visit the Workforce Training site at 1920 3rd Ave. North in Lewiston during 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays.
