LCSC joins in Coins for Haiti fundraiser
Lewis-Clark State College is joining area elementary schools in the "Coins for Haiti" fundraiser to help with recovery efforts after last week's devastating earthquake in Haiti.
The fundraiser was started by Lewiston's Webster Elementary School to the help the national that was rocked by a 7.0-magnitude earthquake that left more than 200,000 estimated dead and several thousand missing.
Students, staff and the public can donate change at specially market donation buckets at participating elementary schools or at the Student Union Building at LCSC. Donations also can be made to the "Coins for Haiti" account at Potlatch #1 Federal Credit Union. Donations will be collected through Jan. 29.
All funds raised will be given to the American Red Cross.
