Condon is the second candidate to interview for LCSC presidency
Stephen Condon, former president at Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, Tenn., will be the second candidate to interview for the presidency at Lewis-Clark State College when he and his wife, Rebecca, visit the Lewiston and Coeur d`Alene campuses later this week.
The Condons will arrive in Lewiston on Wednesday and attend a dinner with current LCSC administrators on Wednesday night before having a full day of meetings and presentations on Thursday. A campus and community forum, which is open to all, will be held at 5-6 p.m. at the Williams Conference Center. A meet and greet reception will start at 4:30 p.m., followed by a presentation by Stephen Condon. The audience will be allowed to ask questions followed by the presentation.

Condon also will visit LC-Coeur d`Alene on Friday.
Mark Browning, Chief Communications and Legislative Affairs Officer for the Office of the State Board of Education, will accompany the Condons during their visit.
Condon has been involved with higher education for 31 years, including five years as president at Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, Tenn., before he resigned in April of 2010.
Condon, 58, is a native of Boston, Mass. He has earned five degrees, including a post doctorate from Harvard University. He graduated from Boston State College in 1974 with a BS in Child Education and also earned degrees from Florida State, Alabama, and Mississippi.
Condon`s professional experience includes work at seven colleges, four of which are Methodist related and mainly located in the south. Two primary areas of expertise for Condon include student affairs and fundraising.
Prior to serving as president at Tennessee Wesleyan, he was vice president for enrollment management and student affairs at Reinhardt College in Waleska, Ga. He also held posts at St. Thomas, Lambuth, Waycross, Huntington, and Jefferson Davis Community College.
Condon has taught a variety of classes, from speech, to leadership theory, and also has been active in developing grants.
Condon also has been a golf coach and athletic director during his higher education career.
His hobbies include golf, trout fishing, motion pictures, professional sports, concerts, Broadway musicals, popular music, cooking, and travel.
Current LCSC interim president Tony Fernandez was the first to interview for the position and the third candidate, Lynn Gillette, will interview on Feb. 2-3.
