Comedian Moss to perform at LC on Feb. 23
Contemporary comedian Preacher Moss will perform Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. at the Lewis-Clark State College Silverthorne Theatre.
Moss has been regularly touring the country in the past five years, performing and lecturing. The focus of his routines revolve around racism and religion. His comedic presentation known as "End of Racism" features a discussion of racism, multiculturalism in post 9/11, and critical race theory. The presentation is an hour-long comedic lecture about racism and the road to acceptance including his idea that everyone is connected by five letters and how remembering this Five-letter philosophy can help bring an end to racism.
His performance is free to LCSC students and $2 for the general public. Tickets will be sold at the door. The event is sponsored by the Warrior Entertainment Board.
Moss spent eight years prior to his comedy tour working with the emotionally disturbed. Moss has been featured in the "Allah Made Me Funny" comedy tour (a tour featuring all Muslim comedians) and performed at the Muslim Public Affairs Banquet at the University of Houston. He also performed at the 2010 CAIR-Oklahoma Banquet in Oklahoma City, the NYC Urban Comedy Festival, the Latino Laugh Festival and at numerous colleges across the United States. Television appearances include: Nightline on ABC, Comedy Central, and BET's Comic View.
