LCSC Health Screening Fair is March 22

The Lewis-Clark State College Health Screening Fair, which features a variety of health screenings and prevention information, will be held March 22 at 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Williams Conference Center on the LCSC campus.

The Fair is open to the public and will have a number of free health screenings as well as some with fees. The fair is sponsored by LCSC Student Health Services and features businesses, government agencies, and LCSC nursing students and groups working together to promote health care and a healthier lifestyle.

Participant booths for the Fair thus far include blood pressure checks (Lewiston Fire Department), readiness to quit tobacco screening (Idaho Public Health), alcohol use screening (LCSC Student Counseling), orthodontic screening (Dr. David Wilkinson), hearing screening (Costco), immunization review for completion (LCSC nursing students), diabetes screening (St. Joseph's RMC), hemoglobin (LCSC Student Health Services), and body composition (LCSC Kinesiology Department).

Also, cholesterol screening (Pathologist Regional Laboratory) will be available for a fee and participants are urged to fast for 12 hours prior to the testing.
