Fundraiser for Pande is April 16
A fundraising dinner to help Monika Pande, the manager of Sodexo at Lewis-Clark State College, will be held at 5-8 p.m. on April 16 at the LCSC Williams Conference Center.
Proceeds from the dinner will help Pande, who is hoping to receive a kidney transplant this year.
The dinner will feature an authentic Nepalese dinner and entertainment, along with a silent auction and raffles. Also, there will be kidney specialist speakers.
The menu is rajma (kidney bean curry), chicken chili (fajitas), tofu curry, nepali potato salad, jasmine rice, white rice, and rasmalai dessert. Drinks are Nepali tea and mango lassi (smoothie) with snacks of nimki chips.
Seating is limited to 150, and tickets are $25 each. For more information or to purchase tickets, call (208) 792-2244 or (208) 750-6132. Tickets can also be purchased at Jitterz, Doks, Food Service Marketplace, or the SUB Information Desk.
Pande moved to Lewiston in 1995. She is married to Balram Pande, who is general manager of Washington State University's concession stands and formerly worked at LCSC. They have two boys, Monix and Rohin.
