Art Under the Elms begins on Friday
Art Under the Elms, the annual signature Event of the Dogwood Festival, will be held this Friday through Sunday at Lewis-Clark State College.
The event features more than 110 artisan booths, including fine ceramics, photography, glassware, jewelry, paintings and more. There also will be entertainment, food, and other fun activities.
Admission is $3 for a three-day pass or $2 for seniors 65-and-over and LCSC students with valid student ID cards. Children 6 and under will be admitted free.
Hours are noon-6 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, and 10-4 p.m. on Sunday.
Art Under the Elms began in 1984 as a celebration of the arts in north central Idaho and has become one of the largest outdoor festivals in the state. AUE is also a significant fundraiser for Continuing Education & Community Events at LCSC.

The Family Fun Fair at AUE will have plenty of activities for children, including tattoo mania, critter creations, vivid imaginations, bean bag toss, lawn bowling, egg coloring on Sunday (while supplies last), face painting, and spin art. Balloons also will be sculpted by Slink the Clown and there will be 10 raspberry iced tea parties on Saturday and Sunday.
The food court features 23 vendors and there will be several performances at both the Student Union Building Amphitheater and the Community Stage located on the law east of the Sam Glenn Complex.
