Annual LCSC Warrior Golf Classic tees off Sept. 14

LEWISTON, Idaho - The sixth annual Lewis-Clark State College Warrior Golf Classic, a four-person scramble fundraiser for student scholarships and programs at LCSC, will be held Friday, Sept. 14 at the Clarkston Golf & Country Club.

The event, sponsored by the LCSC Alumni Association, Warrior Athletic Association, and the LCSC Business Students Organization, features a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Lunch and registration start at noon and a barbecue and awards ceremony will follow play.

The tournament format allows teams to have any combination of handicaps and the four handicaps will be added to form a team handicap. Teams will then receive a stroke adjustment based on the team handicap total. For example, a team with a 0-9 team handicap will add five strokes to their final score, while a team with an 80-89 handicap will deduct three strokes from their final score. The maximum handicap for a male player is 24 and for a female player is 36. A chart outlining the complete team handicap and adjusted score is on the registration form.

The registration fee, which includes lunch, dinner, golf, tee prizes, a player bag tee and two beverage tickets, is $75 per player or $50 for LCSC students with student ID cards. Anyone who registers prior to 5 p.m. on Sept. 3 will receive two extra drink tickets.

Golf carts at the course are not included in the registration fee and the number of carts is limited. To reserve a golf cart, call the Clarkston Golf & CC at (509) 758-7911.
