QuickBooks Basics 1
Monday, September 17, 2012 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM
How do I know how much money I have in the bank so I can pay the bills? This workshop gives you the hands on basics of getting started with QuickBooks. Learn to navigate the program, how to set up your company, how to work with lists and bank accounts, download and balance your bank statements, process credit card transactions, and create your balance sheet accounts. Fee:$40

QuickBooks Basics 2
Monday, September 24, 2012 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Part two gets you through the setup of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other record keeping in QuickBooks. A small business owner needs to know who to pay and who needs to pay you. This workshop helps you learn to enter sales, receive payments, make deposits, enter and pay bills, set up inventory, track and pay sales tax and review reports. A good, fast, accurate bookkeeping system is critical to your business decisions. Even if you plan to have a bookkeeper, business owners must understand the system so you know what the reports are telling you and how to check for problems. Fee: $40

Working With QuickBooks

Part 3 of the QuickBooks Series. This workshop is designed for those who have QuickBooks experience or who have completed QuickBooks Basics 1 and 2. More advanced accounting tools will be covered including job costing, inventory control, cash flow projections, journal entries, controls, and figuring out how to fix what went wrong. Fee: $40

QuickBooks Payroll 1
Monday, October 08, 2012 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Employees add a whole new dimension to record keeping requirements for the small business. This workshop shows you how to use the Payroll function in QuickBooks including setting up employees correctly, adding payroll items, taxes and deductions. Learn how to use time tracking, generate payroll checks and reports. Idaho and Washington payroll requirements will be discussed, as well as payroll expense and liability accounts. Fee: $40

What are the risks you face if you can’t “meet payroll?” What can the IRS do if you get behind on your payroll taxes?
