LCSC Mainstage Theatre Presents

LCSC Mainstage Theatre Presents "These Shining Lives" by Melanie Marnich October 17-20 at the Silverthorne Theatre in the Administration Building on the LCSC campus.

"These Shining Lives" is based on the true story of four Depression-era women joining the workforce for the first time at the Radium Dial watch factory, where they form close friendships while painting tiny luminous numbers onto watch faces. Their newfound independence is rocked by the discovery that the paint they're using is radioactive, leading to life threatening health problems and a lawsuit against the factory. This play honors the women who had the courage to expose health hazards in their workplace, changing the way industry is held accountable for higher employee safety standards.

All performances are at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for non-LCSC students and free to LCSC students with ID. This production is rated PG and is suitable for most age ranges except the very young.
