Safety Fest taking place at LCSC
Lewis-Clark State College will host the 3rd Annual Safety Fest of the Great Northwest on October 23 - 25 at the Williams Conference Center.
Safety Fest is a three-day free safety training event offered to contractors; construction and general industry; professional technical educators, and anyone who desires to improve the safety performance of their business. There are over 30 free safety training courses offered in an effort to reduce hazards presently causing fatalities, injuries and illnesses on the job.
Founding Partners, including LCSC, URS Corp., Local Highway Technical Assistance Council/Idaho Technology Transfer Center, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Mine Safety and Health Administration and others, as well as Safety Fest instructors, volunteer their time and expertise to organize and present the classes. Also included is a two-day vendor trade show.
"The vendors and sponsors are instrumental in keeping these classes free to the community," said event coordinator Denise Shields, with the Local Highway Technical Assistance Council/Idaho Technology Transfer Center.
