Slam Poet to perform at LCSC Wednesday night
Slam poet Katie Wirsing is performing at Lewis-Clark State College Wednesday night, February 27, at 8 p.m. in Sacajawea Hall Room 115. The event, sponsored by the Warrior Entertainment Board, is free and open to the public.
Wirsing is a very successful slam poet who has competed at both the individual and group level. She has won two world slam poetry competitions, was the Denver City Slam champ, and also represented Denver at the Women of the World Poetry Competition. In team competition, she has been a member of four semifinalist National Poetry slam teams.
