LCSC is site of conference featuring national experts on Hematologic Malignancies
The Williams Conference Center on the Lewis-Clark State College campus will be the site of a multidisciplinary conference on hematologic malignancies.
St. Joseph Regional Medical Center (SJRMC) and the Binaytara Foundation are partnering to host the conference on Saturday, August 10. According to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, the conference will "engage medical professionals by discussing how to recognize factors that affect the diagnosis, staging and prognosis of patients with blood cancers as well as emerging therapeutic options for these diseases."
The faculty presenting at this conference have national recognition among their peers and specialization. Panel members include Professor Damiano Rondelli, M.D., University of Illinois; Professor Divyesh Mehta, M.D., Maricopa Integrated Health System; Dr. Binay Shah, Medical Director, St. Joseph Regional Cancer Center and Blood Institute; Dr. Edward Libby, Associate Professor of Medicine, University of Washington; and Sandra Cuellar, PharmD, Assistant Professor, University of Illinois.
According to SJRMC, conferences of this magnitude are particularly important to medical professionals for continuing medical education, networking, and professional dialogue with a goal of improving patient care. Medical staffs from around the northwest have been invited to participate.

There is a hosted dinner the evening of August 9 for all registered participants. The conference has been planned in accordance with the Essential Elements, Criteria and Standards of Accreditation of the Idaho State Medical Association CME Accreditation Committee through partnership with Gritman Medical Center.
