Fixed Assets


Table of contents:


Departments are responsible for safeguarding all equipment and other fixed assets assigned to them, including items no longer in service, until the State Property Disposal Authorization Request is approved and the items are physically removed.  Departments are encouraged to transfer equipment within the College on a no cost basis prior to making a surplus declaration.

 

Disposal Procedures:
  1. Determine equipment is unrepairable or unusable
  2. Complete State Property Disposal Authorization Request
  3. Submit form to Purchasing for processing
  4. Obtain approved disposal authorization from Purchasing
  5. Dispose of equipment
Disposal Methods:
  1. Donate to non-profit organization
  2. Recycle computers through Dell Computer.(contact I.T. ext 2231)
  3. Request removal by the Physical Plant via work order request.
