Welcome
to Summer
School & Special Programs at LCSC
 Summer School and Special Programs
(SS & SP) supports the
primary function of Community Programs by facilitating the
delivery of courses outside of traditional times and locations.
These expanded opportunities are provided through Summer
School, Teacher In-Service, and weekend and evening college.
Many LCSC students have more time
in the summer to take classes. Our flexible schedule makes
it easy for you. Courses are offered in four, six, eight,
and eleven week sessions. Most college services are
available to students throughout the summer.
Professional Development courses for teachers is another
function of Summer School and Special Programs at LCSC.
Each year hundreds of Idaho public school teachers earn
In-Service credits through the college, gaining valuable skills
to use in their classrooms.
The
SS & SP office also is responsible for the operations of the
Outreach Centers in Grangeville and Orofino.
At LCSC we know that one size does not fit all when it comes to
delivering on-line courses, short-term training and community
education and enrichment classes. The service provided to
the outlying areas also includes support for advising and
registration, financial aid, academic records, and support
services.
And finally, Summer School and Special Programs works very closely with New Student
Recruitment to create opportunities for the region's high school
students to earn college credit while receiving instruction from
area teachers in the public school system. This is an
outstanding opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to
earn inexpensive credits and get a jump on their college career.
