THE RACE:

The triathlon is a 500-yard pool swim, 12-mile bike and 2-mile run. The SWIM portion will be Friday night between 4-8pm at the Asotin County Family Aquatic Center. We will have a handicap included as well for those that cannot make it to the swim time, cannot swim, or do not want to swim. See Website for more details. The bike portion leaves the parking lot, heads out the main entrance with a right turn (South) onto Tammany Creek Road, proceeds six miles then returns to the park. The run starts at the North Parking Lot in Hell’s Gate State Park and heads north on the Greenbelt Levee system for one mile, then returns to the finish area.

PARKING & CAMPING:

Hell’s Gate has regular, tent, cabin and RV camping. For more information contact the park at 208-799-5015.

TRI NORTHWEST RANKINGS:

The individual triathlon race is part of the Tri-Northwest Rankings for the 2007 Season.

AWARDS:

Trophies will be awarded to the overall male and female winners and the overall winning team. Medals will be given to the top three in each 5-year age group after removing the overall winners.

I know that competing in a triathlon is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and compete unless I am medically able and properly trained. I assume all risks associated with competing in this event, including, but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, traffic, interactions with non-participants and the conditions of the road all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of the acceptance of my entry, I, myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release any and all sponsors and organizers, their officers, agents and assigns, the race director and volunteers from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event even though that liability may arise out of the negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I also understand that my entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. A parent must sign if the child is under 18 years of age.
