Clearwater River Running
Camp
TO BRING LIST:
- Copy of insurance - if not already provided
- Full registration form - if not already completed
- Great Attitude
- At least one pair of running shoes (would recommend
two if possible)
- 1 pair of sandals, tennis shoes or casual kicks
- Pillow
- Sleeping bag
- Sleeping pad (optional)
- Enough running clothes for two training sessions per
day (won’t always be runs)
- Swim suit
- Two towels – one for swimming, one for bathing (river
or potable water access – NO SHOWERS) J
- A light jacket or hoodie (can get cool in the evenings
and mornings)
- River shoes (not flip flops) – water levels could be
low and floating the river could include walking some and you need to
protect your feet.
- Shoes to hike in (can be one of your other pair of
shoes)
- Flashlight (optional)
- Bug spray (optional but recommended – campers can
share as well)
- sun screen (optional but recommended)
- Camera (optional)
- Medications (IE- personal epi-pen, allergy, asthma,…)
- Sundries (toothpaste, brush, etc…)
- Fishing gear (optional) – note there are special
fishing rules in this area and you also need an Idaho fishing license. If
you need more details on the special rules, contact coach Collins or see
your Idaho fishing regulations for the Selway River.
- Water Bottle
- Camelback/Daypack (optional – for hike purposes)
NOTE: You can bring your cell phone, but there is no
service in the campsite area.
What NOT to bring:
- Hatchets
- Guns
- Large or small knives
- Large sums of money
- Boom boxes
- TV’s
- Video games
- Fireworks
- A bad attitude and/or lazy work ethic
