The Unit Action Plan (UAP) process was established to
help unit leaders and their teams manage LCSC’s programs
and assist the leaders in evaluating options in order to
make sound decisions. The CSO chair consults with LCSC
leaders to seek five classified members who would be
willing to attend Functional Area Review Group (FARG)
meetings as scheduled by the respective college units.
While attending the FARG meeting, the committee member
notes any issues/concerns, etc. that directly affect
classified staff members. Once the FARG meetings have
concluded, the committee members assist the chair to
draft a clear and concise committee report outlining any
significant issues that arose and includes the group’s
recommendations on planning/budget priorities (if
possible). The chair of the committee has historically
presented the CSO Unit Action Plan (FARG) report to the
administration at a time designed in December.
The CSO looks forward to having member participation on
committees and we greatly appreciate the opportunity to
be involved in the strategic planning process and hope
to continue to be contributors to these processes for
years to come.
