Text Box: The New Year is starting out with some great events beginning with the Martin Luther King/Idaho Human Rights observance day. The event will be held on Monday, January 16th, starting at 6pm. The event will take place in Pioneer Park, where there will be a candlelight procession to the Activity Center. The main program will begin at 7:00pm. The program will consist of speakers and a dance performance. Donations to help sponsor the event can be sent to YWCA MLK at 310 Main Street, Lewiston, ID 83501.

The completion of the activity center will be celebrated on Thursday, January 19th at 5pm. Festivities will take place in the new auxiliary gym where there will be food, prizes and tours of the new classrooms and offices. Following will be the LC women’s and men’s basketball games, with the women’s game beginning at 6pm followed by the men’s game at 8pm. The Warriors will be playing against the University of Great Falls. 

The next upcoming CSO event will be the Silent Auction, which will be held the first week of March. Contact Shannon Casteel at ext. 2229, if you have any questions or would like to donate an item for the auction.
