DID YOU KNOW?Text Box: November’s CSO News Text Box: Don’t forget about the CSO Bake Sale on Thursday, November 17th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the SUB Solarium. Stop by to say “hi” or buy some of the wonderful baked goods that your fellow CSO members have brought. A few updates on past events: the CSO Book and Media Sale was again a great success bringing in after tax a total of $327.96. The left over books went to a yard sale for the hurricane relief and some of the children’s books went to the KinderCollege. Thanks again to the CSO Recognition Committee for putting the fundraiser together, as well as everyone who donated items or personal time to make this fundraiser a great success. The LCSC KARE’s (Katrina Aid Relief Effort) fundraiser raised $1,407.00 from the bead sale that was held this past September. The proceeds are going to the Red Cross and PetSmart charities, 80%, $1,125 to Red Cross and 20%, $281.40 to PetSmart. Upcoming events: LCSC is again participating in the Festival of Trees, which is being held Nov. 23rd – 26th. The theme for the LCSC tree this year is “Christmas in July”, so be sure to stop by to see the tree. The Winter Revels is going to be held again at the Quality Inn, on Saturday, December 10th starting at 6:00pm. More information will be forthcoming. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving this year!
