Text Box: The Classy Line Text Box: October’s CSO News Text Box: Thanks to all those who’ve donated items for the book and media sale! The sale was a success again this year thanks to all the volunteers and the donations received. In case you didn’t know there is a new fundraising committee called LCSC KARES, which was started to help the hurricane Katrina victims. The fundraiser included the purchase of Mardi Gras beads, which were sold on and off campus. On Tuesday, September 20th the bead sale was kicked off with a Mardi Gras day on campus, which included a Cajun style dinner served by Sodexho. Proceeds of the fundraiser will go to the Red Cross and to PETsMART (an animal charity organization). When we last heard, almost all of the beads were sold and the fundraiser went really well. Thanks to everyone who helped out and purchased a strand of beads! You can contact Charlotte x2084 if you have questions.

Welcome Aboard!Text Box: Name: Claudia O’Connor Department: Library Position: Library Assistant Text Box: What I do Currently I am the Assistant to the Library Director, Sue Niewenhous. I work in library administration providing support to all library staff and assisting them with their needs. I keep track of the overall Text Box: budget activities, prepare irregular help payroll, travel arrangements, and requisitions as well as taking care of the various daily office procedures. Hobbies/Items of Interest I moved here from Text Box: Germany six years ago and started working in the LCSC Library nine months ago. I am usually working on more than one craft project and home improvement idea at a time. Besides that I like to read, play board games or just relax.
