Definition
The Classified Employee of the Year
Award is a yearly honor given to a classified employee who has
demonstrated exemplary service during their employment with Lewis-Clark
State College. In order to be eligible, the employee must be a
classified staff member who has worked for Lewis-Clark State College for
a minimum of two years and who has not received this award within the
last five years. The winner of this honor receives a plaque to keep and
display, a monetary award, and their name is placed on a traveling
plaque listing past winners of the Classified Employee of the Year.
Nomination Procedure
The
procedure
for selecting the Employee of the Year has changed as approved in the
September 2007 bylaws revisions. A committee consisting of non-eligible
candidates will serve and vote on the recipient of the award. On the
next screen you will find a list of eligible classified employees who
have reached their two-year employee anniversary, thereby making them
eligible for nomination. Once you have reviewed the names, click on the
link at the bottom of the page to access the nomination form. In
completing the form, please give a detailed explanation of why you feel
your nominee is worthy of this award. Please note that you only put the
nominees name on the top of the form and only refer to the person as
he/she when addressing the questions. This is a critical factor in
keeping the voting process anonymous to be as fair as
possible.
As you nominate an individual, please keep in mind if the individual has been involved with campus activities, other than work, i.e.; CSO Recognition Committee, CSO Committee, Professional Development Committee, or other committees on campus; are they taking college courses towards a degree. Besides having an outstanding job performance, what else makes this person stand out from all others?
Nominations will be accepted March 3rd through March 28th. Valid nominations will be presented to the Classified Staff Organization Employee of the Year Committee for selection. Thank you for your participation in this process that will honor a deserving classified staff member.
