Participated in multi-variable calculus workshop presented at St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota.  1998

Coordinator to establish a permanent account for the purchase, maintenance, and upgrade of computer assets for mathematics courses.  Duties include maintenance and distribution of the nearly $40,000 worth of mathematical hardware and software currently used in these courses to both students and instructors.  This account, now supported by student fees, marks the first time at LCSC that computer assets dedicated to mathematics have been supported by a hard money fund.  1996-2004.

Coordinator to establish and maintain a permanent mathematics classroom/lab for use in those mathematics courses requiring extensive use of computer assets.  This classroom marks the recognition at LCSC that mathematics is now a curriculum requiring  dedicated labs and equipment solely for use in mathematics courses.   1996-2004.

Coordinated with Dr. Rick Gill at the University of Idaho to establish the on-campus delivery of  ME 210-Engineering Statics, a U of I course,  on the LCSC campus.   This enables LCSC students to complete their entire first two years toward an engineering degree from the U of I entirely on the LCSC campus.  !997-1998

Created and presented, with Mr. Bob Yeoman, a workshop entitled "Creating, Transferring, and Storing Variables on the TI-92:  Applications to Teaching" at the NCTM Western Regional Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah.  1997

Designed, tested, and implemented, in conjunction with Dr. Ed Miller and Dr. Brent Bradberry, an off-campus version of MA 160 - Applied Calculus for Management and Social Science.  The course is administered and students evaluated by completely electronic means using the Internet and the World Wide Web.  1996-1997

Member of the Internet Demonstration Team, which was formed to establish the Internet on the LCSC campus.  Duties included designing and presenting classroom instruction on the use of the Internet to LCSC faculty and staff.  1994

Co-author of "Effects of Base Closures in Pensacola Area", a paper commissioned by the Department of the Navy from the University of West Florida.  This paper was used as partial justification for the ultimate closure of three airfields in the Pensacola, Florida area.  1975

Masters Thesis:  "Implementation of the T34B".  This was a combined thesis commissioned by the Department of the Navy from the University of West Florida.   It provided the Navy with recommendations on how to replace its entire inventory of T34A aircraft with the T34B.  The eventual replacement was carried out almost entirely to the letter by recommendations set forth in this thesis.  1975

8.  Grants and Funds Received and/or Administered

1998 - Received $24,000 from LCSC to establish a permanent account to be funded by student fees for the purpose of providing  individual core mathematics students with personal computers for the duration of  any core math course he/she participates in.   These funds also supply instructors with any computer hardware and/or software necessary to the teaching of these courses.

1997 - Received $5000 from the LCSC Student Technology Fund for the purpose of purchasing TI-92 computer algebra systems/graphing calculators for use in the mathematics classroom.

1995-1998 - Received $2000 in computer hardware from Texas Instruments for use in classroom instruction.  Partial list of equipment includes: TI-92, 6-TI-92 View Screens, 2-TI-89's, TI-82, TI-82 View Screen

1995 - Received an Institutional Development Grant for $200 to purchase and evaluate a TI-92 and computer linker for possible classroom use.

1994 - Received $500 from a Faculty Development Grant to hire students to document all computer hardware and software maintained by the division.

1993 - Received  $14,269 from a Dwight D. Eisenhower Grant to create and deliver a course on technology in the classroom for in-service teachers in Northern Idaho.

1992 - Received $5000 from a Dwight D. Eisenhower grant authored by Dr. Brent Bradberry to create and administer a course on the History of Mathematics for in-service teachers in Northern Idaho.
