Dental Hygiene Degree Courses
offered
at
LCSC
Beginning Fall 2008, Lane Community
College offers a two year Associate's
Degree in Dental Hygiene on the campus of Lewis-Clark State College.
Pre-requisite courses are available through LCSC and must be
completed prior to application to Lane CC.

Dental Hygienists are licensed
preventive oral health professionals who provide educational,
clinical, and therapeutic services to support overall health through
proper oral health. The
Bureau of Labor and
Statistics lists Dental Hygiene among the fastest growing
occupations in the U.S., with excellent job prospects for the
future.
The Lane CC Dental Hygiene program at
LCSC has been funded by a DOLETA grant, proposed to meet the needs
of rural counties in Idaho traditionally served by LCSC. Admission preference will be given to residents of the following
counties in Idaho:
Boundary, Bonner, Kootenai, Benewah,
Shoshone, Latah, Clearwater, Nez Perce, Lewis, and Idaho.
Admission preference also will be available for
residents of Asotin County, Washington.
Students from other accredited U.S.
colleges and universities also are encouraged to apply. Refer
to the 2010 Application Packet for further details.

Fall 2010 applications are now available. Dates of
interest:
1/ All applicants must take the HOBET.
More information is detailed in the application.
2/ All applicants should plan on
completing financial aid information (FAFSA) as soon as
possible.
3/ All applicants must attend one
mandatory review session. More information is detailed
in the application.
4/ Applications will be accepted
beginning March 3, 2010, and will be due by April 27,
2010.
Prospective students must complete the HOBET
prior to application to the Lane CC Dental Hygiene program. The HOBET is available through the LCSC
Center for New Directions.
