Teaching Philosophy

My goal when teaching is to ensure that my students have not only mastered the subject matter, but that I have also fostered within each student a sense of curiosity, self-reliance, and professionalism. When presenting a problem to students I will often prompt them for alternate ways of solving the problem. It is important to me that my students use the resources available to them, especially their ability to think outside of what they have already learned.
