Sheri is currently the coordinator for Lewis-Clark State College's Title IV-E Scholar's program. She works closely with social work students interested in careers in child welfare and the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, Children and Family Services. She teaches Child Welfare and she specializes in developmental trauma and neglect.
Sheri earned her Master of Social Work from Eastern Washington University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Idaho. She began her social work career working with children and adolescents who were in a residential treatment facility due to extreme dysregulation because of developmental trauma, neglect and/or loss.
Sheri has worked in the areas of child protection and has a past conducting suicide assessments and designated examinations in the State of Idaho. She has clinical experience working with children, adolescents and families who have experienced trauma, neglect and/or loss as well as families struggling with insecure attachment issues.
She is a Certified Circle of Security Parent Educator, Certified Co-facilitator for Parenting with Love and Limits, and she is working to complete her Phase I of Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics Certification through the ChildTrauma Academy. She also has experience as a facilitator for Family Group Decision Making meetings. She is a volunteer for REST through the Idaho Medical Reserve Corp.
