Course Description:

This WebCT course is activity-based and designed to be completed on an individual study basis. The course will provide the student with opportunities to design and complete a professional internship in a school during which he/she works with GT students, assess needs, and design instructional activities appropriate for these students. Students must accrue 90 clock hours of supervised on-site field experience to meet internship requirements. Students will be provided wide latitude in designing experiences that reflect their unique needs, situation, and teaching experience.  Pre/Co-requisites:  Instructor Approval, EDGT 410, 420, and 440.

Minimum Computer Requirements:

Win 2000/XP/VISTA or Mac OSX Pentium/G3 1Ghz w/ 1.5 GB RAM
High Speed Internet Access Recommended*
Internet Explorer 7x (Recommended) or Firefox 2.0.0.16
Current Java runtime environment for Windows or OSX (java.com)

On-line discussions may be required during this course. The LCMail account and BbCE course mail are the only accounts that will be used to contact students regarding online courses.
