NEW STUDENTS:
New
Student Checklist |
- Complete an
application for admission form which can be found at
http://www.lcsc.edu/admissions/forms.htm.
- If you do not wish
to declare a major or only want to register for one class, complete a non-degree seeking
application. This removes the requirement to submit high
school and previous college transcripts. It will take
approximately two days to process the application. A degree can be
declared at a later date.
- Those submitting a
degree seeking application must send high school and/or
college transcripts in addition to completing an application for
admission. Contact the
Office of
Recruitment and Retention at (208) 792-2378 or (800) 933-5272
for more information.
|
- Complete a
registration form which can be found at
http://www.lcsc.edu/registrar/Forms/Reg%20Card.pdf.
This form can be completed at any
time, but cannot be processed until the application for admission
form is processed.
- Non-degree
seeking students registering for seven credits or less can submit the
form to the Office of the
Registrar (RCH 108) without an advisor's or the division's
signature.
- Degree seeking
students and students registering for more than seven credits need to
submit the form to the Office of the
Registrar (RCH 108) with a signature from an advisor or the
division.
- If you are
unable to come to campus, you may fax the form to Distance
Learning at (208) 792-2444, and we will deliver it to the
Registrar's Office.

If you need assistance with accessing your course, please contact
208.792.2239 or email bbce@lcsc.edu.
Your nearest Outreach Center can assist you in accessing the
website, too.
If you need to order books, please
e-mail the bookstore at
bookstore@lcsc.edu
with your name, e-mail address and course #'s for which you need
books and they will get back to you as soon as possible.
A textbook list is available on
the Bookstore website at
www.efollette.com
|
|
Read the entire syllabus
for the class. Note the instructor's e-mail address and the
required materials. Instructors often put new information on their
sites. Check frequently and ALWAYS use the Refresh or Reload button on your browser.
During the first week of the
semester e-mail your instructor with your LC Mail address and introduce
yourself to the instructor. Please DO NOT wait for your
instructor to contact you. |
|
If you are
an outreach student, you may call the bookstore (800-879-0458) about
textbooks; or access any online bookstore to place orders.
Books from the LCSC Bookstore can be sent directly to you for a
mailing fee. Credit cards are preferred but checks are accepted;
however, books will not be mailed until after the check is received. On-campus students may
go directly to the bookstore. Books for online courses
cannot be purchased at the NIC bookstore. |
Follow the syllabus
schedule for assignment due dates and test procedures.
Do not assume you may
begin your DL class or turn in assignments at any time.
Online
classes
observe the same academic schedules as on-campus classes.
Note:
If you send materials by regular mail, make sure that you allow enough
time, especially at the end of the semester. Since most of the class
work has to be forwarded to the instructor, all work should be in the
DL Office in
Lewiston 5 days before the end of semester.
If you have any questions about
your Internet or BbCE classes, call us at 792-2239 or
800-879-0458
or visit our
FAQ's page.
