Distance Learning
-->
Communication
1. Read the
entire syllabus for each class.
-Keep
a copy of the syllabus handy throughout the semester for
quick reference. Make note of the instructor's email
address, and their preferred method of communication should
you need to contact them. Ensure you have all required
materials such as textbooks.
2. Follow the syllabus schedule for assignment due
dates and test procedures.
-Do not
assume you may begin your DL class or turn in assignments at
any time. Online classes observe the same academic
schedules as on-campus classes and many instructors have
specific timelines to follow.
3. Plan
ahead for assignments and tests.
-If
you need to send materials by regular mail, make sure you
allow enough time, especially at the end of the semester.
Since most of the class work has to be forwarded to the
instructor, all assignments should be in the DL office in
Lewiston 5 days before the end of the
semester.
