What is online learning?

Online learning is a non-traditional way to participate in regular academic and technical courses. It offers greater flexibility than traditional methods of learning. You access all or part of your class through a course management system (CMS). At LCSC this system is called Blackboard. There are two main ways to learn online at LCSC.

• Fully online web courses (100% of coursework is completed online)
• Hybrid or lecture/web courses (30% or more of course work is completed online and 70% or more is completed face-to-face)
