Distance Learning Student Orientation

Welcome to the Distance Learning Student Orientation.  You may be wondering, What is Distance Learning?  Distance Learning refers to both a department on campus and a mode of learning.

The Distance Learning office at LCSC facilitates a variety of technology enhanced forms of instruction including web-based, hybrid, and web-enhanced learning.  While traditionally, distance learning referred to students who were unable to attend campus-based classes, currently over 70% of all LCSC students, including more than 40% of first and second year students participate in distance learning classes.

It is for this reason, we have developed this online orientation.  It is the goal of the Distance Learning office to provide excellent service for our students, and to do so, we need your input.  Please complete the brief survey at the end of this orientation and feel free to contact us if at any time you have questions or concerns.
