Additional Recommendations

It is recommended that you check for system updates for your computer at least once a month.
  • Windows users, click here for more information.
  • Macintosh users, click here for more information.

It's a good idea to have a backup computer you can use, especially to check when you get an error message or are having other problems.

  • If the backup computer isn't having the same problems, it's a good bet the concern lies with your computer or Internet Service Provider.

  • If the problem occurs on more than one computer, especially ones using different Internet Service Providers, then the problem is more likely to be with an on-campus system.

If you continue to experience problems, contact Distance Learning and have this information ready:

  • Your name and Student ID

  • Course and Instructor name

  • Where the problem occurred (Blackboard)

  • Description of the problem (Include any error messages or phenomena)
