Opportunities to Accelerate
PACE provides opportunities
for qualified candidates to accelerate through
the program based on documented life experiences
and demonstrated teaching knowledge, skills,
and dispositions.
On-Line Classes
All PACE Education courses
are delivered on-line utilizing asynchronous
Blackboard/WebCT. In later phases of the
program candidates are provided with web
cameras and software that permit candidates
to receive personal face-to-face advising,
participate in small group seminars, and
during internship, be observed teaching in
their classrooms. Individuals may apply for
admission to PACE throughout the year, but
classes are scheduled by Fall, Spring, and
Summer sessions.
Minors and Endorsements
PACE provides on-line course
work in certain minors and endorsements.
These require the individual to hold or be
simultaneously working toward Teaching Certification.
Orientation and Workshop
There is a short three-day
on-campus Orientation and Workshop each June.
To gain full admission and be allowed to
enroll in the last Phase of PACE, candidates
must attend the Orientation. Candidates are
advised to attend the workshop as soon in
their program of studies as possible.
